Overview
Unflinching, spellbinding gig-theatre devised by songwriter Jo Mango & award-winning theatre maker Liam Hurley, featuring Louis Abbott (Admiral Fallow), Raveloe & Solareye.
“Do you think cos I’ve been in the jail all I know is how to hurt people?”
Every year in Scotland thousands of people return home from prison to an uncertain future. A Giant on the Bridge reveals the human heartbeat within one such story. Identity, family, community, restoration & injustice are explored through original songwriting, Scottish hip-hop & immersive storytelling by five of Scotland’s leading musicians.
Developed with the Distant Voices Community – people from across the criminal justice system.
Notes: References to prisons, occasional bad language.
