The Made in Scotland showcase is selected by two panels of industry experts: one focuses on theatre and dance, the other on music. The make-up of the selection panels changes each year to ensure a diverse range of experience, artforms and opinions are represented. For Made in Scotland 2023, the selection panels included:

Some of the Made in Scotland 2022 shows were chosen In January 2020 to be a part of the showcase in August 2020 but then, unfortunately, the Fringe was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They became a part of the showcase this year instead.
